If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself - Henry Ford
Delaware Valley University
In 1896, visionary scholar, educator and activist Joseph Krauskopf founded the National Farm School based on the idea of “science with practice” -- the combination of classroom learning and hands-on experience. Today, as Delaware Valley University, the institution offers 28 undergraduate majors in the natural sciences, business, and humanities; more than nine master's degrees; and a doctoral degree.
Our bachelor's degree in equine science offers a specialization in breeding that prepares students for careers in the breeding industry. Management of stallions, broodmares, yearlings, weanlings, and newborns are all essential to our equine science students’ curriculum. You will have the opportunity to handle, manage, and breed horses, as well as assist in foaling management, neonatal care, and young-stock handling and sales.

Utah Ranch Sorting Association
Ranch sorting is one of the fastest growing sports in the equine industry. Sorting is a speed event designed to mimic the ranch chore of sorting cattle into pens for branding, transport to auction, or doctoring.
The URSA offers a family friendly environment with classes for all ages and skill levels or folks across the mountain states. Their mission is to inspire skill development, promote teamwork, and strengthen our community through the sport of Ranch Sorting.
