If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself - Henry Ford

Delaware Valley University

In 1896, visionary scholar, educator and activist Joseph Krauskopf founded the National Farm School based on the idea of “science with practice” -- the combination of classroom learning and hands-on experience. Today, as Delaware Valley University, the institution offers 28 undergraduate majors in the natural sciences, business, and humanities; more than nine master's degrees; and a doctoral degree.

Our bachelor's degree in equine science offers a specialization in breeding that prepares students for careers in the breeding industry. Management of stallions, broodmares, yearlings, weanlings, and newborns are all essential to our equine science students’ curriculum. You will have the opportunity to handle, manage, and breed horses, as well as assist in foaling management, neonatal care, and young-stock handling and sales.

The USTPA is the National Governing Body for the sports of Team Penning and Ranch Sorting. As the only international non-profit Association in the sports, the USTPA was formed in 1993 and now proudly represents Team Penners and Ranch Sorters from around the world. As a
membership-based organization, the USTPA represents riders off all ages and riding abilities.

The USTPA also functions as an advocate to the working cow horse, promoting its use in our sports and educating the public about the fun, family competitions that the USTPA sanctions throughout the United States each weekend. Through member services, competition regulation, championship production and general promotion of the sports of Team Penning and Ranch Sorting, the USTPA is committed to promoting the western lifestyle.

Tarleton State University

With its main campus in Stephenville, Tarleton State University offers the value of a Texas A&M University System degree with its own brand of personal attention, individual opportunities, history, tradition and community. Tarleton is a vibrant learning community with nearly 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as a doctorate in education, within eight academic colleges.

At Tarleton, our animal science majors study production animals for food and fiber, as well as horses for work and recreation, to help meet the needs of current and future animal scientists, producers and consumers. Our bachelor’s degree program coursework also helps prepare undergraduate students in animal-science related career fields such as range management, meat science and marketing.

Utah Ranch Sorting Association

Ranch sorting is one of the fastest growing sports in the equine industry. Sorting is a speed event designed to mimic the ranch chore of sorting cattle into pens for branding, transport to auction, or doctoring.

The URSA offers a family friendly environment with classes for all ages and skill levels or folks across the mountain states. Their mission is to inspire skill development, promote teamwork, and strengthen our community through the sport of Ranch Sorting.
