Hanging Chicken Feeder - Busy Bag

$19.99

Overview

Designed specifically for poultry, our hanging chicken feeder is the perfect boredom buster. The Busy Bag is great for fresh produce, scraps, and other healthy treats for chickens. The Busy Bag keeps chickens focused on working for food instead of picking on coop mates. Safe and gentle on beaks, the Busy Bag won't cause beak sores like metal suet cages and other chicken feeders.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Busy Bag!!!!

I have been using Texas Haynet for a few years now at Evanescent Mustang Rescue and Sanctuary (highly recommended!!) and last time I went to order another one I noticed the Busy Bag. It was almost Christmas so I ordered it as a stocking stuffer for my husband. When it arrived we were excited to put it out - the chickens went straight for it and come running anytime they see us going for the bag to put goodies in it for them! Thank you Texas Haynet for another great product!!!

Perfect for all my poultry

I love these bags and use them for all my poultry: Chickens, geese and turkeys. I even train my chicks with these to eat a variety of foods early on. These bags are a winter and rainy day "must have" for my flocks. www.GuccitoGoats.com

Busy Bag - Chicken Feeder hanging net

OMG, our 43 hens just love this net. We put 3 lettuce heads, several apples and misc food items in the bag, tied it up and the hens went to town pecking at the bag. It really keeps the hens busy and fun to watch them. I would recommend this busy bag net for anyone who owns chickens.

FAQ

What Hole Size Should I Buy?

There are several things to consider when choosing a hole size. Here are the basics:

  • 95% of animals do well with 1.75" holes.
  • For heavy breeds or aggressive eaters we recommend a 2.5" hole or bigger.
  • For mini breeds we recommend a 1.5-1" hole.
  • For cattle, senior horses with dental/vision issues, or thick stemy hay we recommend a 3" hole.

What Kind of Savings Should I Expect?

You can expect money, time & hay savings. The amount of each varies based on several things, but generally speaking:

  • Round bale hay nets waste less than 6% of a bale.
  • Round bale nets cost 50% less than other hay feeders.
  • Hay nets can cut hay expenses dramatically because fewer bales are needed.
  • Spend less time feeding and eliminate time spent cleaning up wasted hay.
  • Checkout our hay savings calculator to estimate how much you can save.

How Long Does a Net Last?

This varies based on the type of net, how many animals are using the net and how many days a year you feed hay.

  • Round bale nets normally last 2-4 years. Sometimes longer.
  • Square bale nets typically last 3+ years.
  • Small nets can last 5+ years.
