This slow feed hay net is perfect for large square bales. The Texas Haynet helps prevent colic, founder, and ulcers by slowing down consumption to a natural pace. Regulating hay in take helps improve digestion, calms aggressive behavior, reduces herd stress, alleviates boredom and unwanted stable vices, prevents serious health problems caused by overeating and burrowing into the center of the bale.
With the Texas Haynet, horses are no longer allowed to engorge themselves and frivolously waste expensive hay. The net is lightweight and easy to install - no heavy equipment required.

Bought this after reading reviews. Our hay supply unexpectedly changed to large round bales, and thankfully this net does both large shapes. The first bale lasted 3 weeks with 2 horses feeding on it, one of which can be quite destructive. The bale is on a tire and in a round bale feeder which is flipped upside-down to prevent the shod horse from climbing in. Very little waste and no holes at all yet, so I'm very pleased! Our horses are used to slow feeders, which I'm sure helped a lot. Great product for a great price!

This is the second purchase of this item for me. The first net held up well and lasted for close to three years of almost constant use. It performs as advertised. Horses share the bale with almost no fighting and slows their eating. I did finally get tired of repairing and purchased again. I made a frame to put bale into that keeps horses from stepping on the net.

I feel like it’s way too big and loose for a 4x4x8 bale but rather it be too big than too small

So far good. Bought the lighter version 2 winters ago. Horses destroyed them this winter. I bought some heavy duty ones from another company that have held up very well for 2 winters. These new heavy nets I just bought from you look good but are not as thick as the other company's. Time will tell how these hold up.

Zero waste now. Getting 4 extra days out of a big bale. Been thinking horses would loose weight but they look great it’s been a month now. Very happy with it.
